3271-SAM 2 Build Instructions

The 3271-SAM2 PCB assembly contains components that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD) – please make sure you are wearing your wrist strap when handling.

3271-SAM-2 Programming Instructions

Connect unit to programming device.

  • Select STM32CubeProgrammer
  • Connect to Unit

  • Select Device programming

  • Browse and select the S:/Code/Production/3271-SAM2/3271-SAM2-Bootloader

  * Click Start Programming Making sure all the checked boxes are correct

You can now disconnect the unit, if programming unsucessful, erase the device memory and try again.

  • Open Monex and click 'Get Serial' and 'GetProdInfo', you should see the following

  • Go to the Programming tab and match the device instance to the Target Select

  • Click on 3271-SAM2 and the Reprogram on the pop-up
  • Select S:/Code/Production/3271-SAM2/3271-SAM2

  • The Device should start programming and should 'PASS', and Reboot to Application Code
  • Go Back to Device Info Tab and check that Model ID now shows as Sender Averaging Module

3271-SAM-2 Testing

Conect PCB into Monex. This should light up 3 LED’s. Blue Tx which pulses, A and B will be solid red lights.

Set instances as per picture below

Set fluid type and buttons as per picture below.

Use 2x sliders to check averaging is working. This picture shows below, “8” set to 75% and “9” set to 25%, so the average is 50. Try on a couple of other values. LED’s on PCB should now be as follows: Tx LED will flash blue, and A and B will both be flashing green

  • Test If device instance changes when hex switch rotated for all values 0-F.

Assembly

Fit PCB to box – this will go either way round

Cover With Epoxy, ensure the LED’s and switches are not covered with epoxy and that the epoxy is smooth and looks professional, if in any doubt ask for a second opinion
The Adaptor is now ready for Labels, Connect to monex for serial numbers

Manual Printing Instructions

  1. Go to (S) Drive.
  2. Parts Documents.
  3. Select 3271-SAM2
  4. Select PDF's.
  5. Select 3271-SAM2 user manual and print.

Label Printing Instructions

  1. Choose labels required
  2. Select (LabelDirect)
  3. Close (Pop Up)
  4. Go to file-open
  5. Select - Parts documents
  6. Select - 3271-SAM2
  7. Select - Labels
  8. Select Correct Label
  9. Highlight Serial number and change in Text box.
  10. Go to Incrementing number Properties and change serial number.
  11. Go to file -Print Setup
  12. Calibrate the label.
