3890 Build Instructions
Tools:
- Multi meter
- Terminal Crimping Pliers
- Ambersil Cleaning Fluid (if required)
Test Procedure
- Test that the Unit is functioning correctly. Using the Multi meter.
- Apply 24 volts to the Input Terminal and measure the voltage at the output terminal which should be 13.6 volts.
If the Power Adaptor is working correctly, the manufacturers label can now be carefully removed and replaced by the Oceanic Systems label with Part Number and Serial Number positioned as shown. If necessary use the Ambersil to assist in the removal of any adhesive remaining after removing the label.
Manual Printing Instructions
- Go to (S) Drive.
- Parts Documents.
- Select 3890
- Select PDF's.
- Select 3890 Installation Instructions and print.
Label Printing Instructions
- Choose labels required
- Select (LabelDirect)
- Close (Pop Up)
- Go to file-open
- Select - Parts documents
- Select - 3890
- Select - Labels
- Select - UL_3890_wire (cable label)
- Select - UL_3890 (Adaptor label)
- Highlight Serial number and change in Text box.
- Go to Incrementing number Properties and change serial number.
- Go to file -Print Setup
- Select bradyBBP11-34L(copy 1) and select Calibrate.
- label will calibrate.
Take Lead assembly 3832 twist together the bared ends of the Grey and Black leads and insert into one of the female terminals supplied with the unit crimp securely. Repeat this operation with the Red and Brown leads. Attach Label to Green Lead as shown Attach Cable Assembly Label approx 15-20mm away from cable heatshrink as shown. Connect cable terminals to the output terminals on the Power Adaptor as shown ensuring that the RED and Brown leads are on the +13.6v terminal. + or – 0.5.
Packaging
Use RPT 112 box and outer sleeve
- Attach Power adaptor Label centrally to the top of box.
- Pack the complete power adaptor and cable Assembly into the box along with the Mounting Bracket.
- Installation Instructions. Bag containing 3 mounting screws and caps. 2 Female Terminals (as shown).
