4291 Build Instructions.

The 4291 PCB assembly contains components that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD) – please make sure you are wearing your wrist strap when handling.

Programming.

Connect unit to programming device.

  • Select Atmel studio
  • Select Device programming
  • Select required Fuses see pictures below.

  • Select Memories
  • Select Atmel Flip (select ATmeg4C1)

  • Load Hex file (4291-v2.0.6.hex)
  • Place magnet in position see picture below

  • Select Bit rate (250)
  • Verify Flash

Test Procedure

• There should be no devices that are not mentioned in this document on the CAN bus.

• All tests should be carried out at room temperature unless specified otherwise.

• All tests should be performed fully and in specified order.

• At the start of testing DUT has to be in default configuration state.

TEST EQUIPMENT USED

  • • NMEA2000 Network with PCAN-View NMEA2000® USB Adaptor
  • • Test unit
  • • Calibrated Multimeter
  • • MONEX installed on a PC
