5021 Build instructions

The 5021 PCB assembly contains components that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD) – please make sure you are wearing your wrist strap when handling.

Using a File, modify the corners of the lower rear cover (203084). Identify with white marker see picture below. Ensure all debris has been removed.

Place heat shrink on cable (200584) and solder red and black wire to power connector (202433) on power PCB (10293-A) then heat shrink cable. See pic

Insert holes on Bezel with 4 x (203324) Standoffs.

Fit PCB 10293-A into position adjacent AD board video board Fit Video Board in position using Screws (202429)

Fit TFT using screws (202880) x 4 and Loctite 222.

Solder Red and Black wire from connector (202433) to power board (10293-A)

Solder black and red wire to AD board.

Programming Instructions

Disconnect white connector leads from board

Insert main power lead

Use the Atmel programmer, using standard parameters:

See fig below

  • BOOTLEVEL = 2V7
  • SPIEN = Checked
  • BOOTSZ = 2048W_7800
  • BOOTRST = Checked
  • SUT_CKSEL =
  • EXTXOSC_PLLIN_EXTXOSC_16KCK_14CK_64MS
  • (last selection on the list)
  • Then press the “Program” button
  • Then program the software by clicking on
  • “Memories” menu
  • Then power cycle the unit.
